Available for Adoption:

Bowdy

Do you dislike cats, lizards, squirrels and snakes?

So does Bowdy. His goal in life seems to be to avoid all of those things as much as possible...otherwise the chase will begin! Imagine that a Jack Russell/Dachshund with a high prey drive! Who would have thought?

Bowdy is a character...he is sooo cute with his short stubby legs, long body and Jack Russell head. He was rescued from the Onslow County shelter after being up for adoption for nearly two weeks and no one took him home. Can you imagine passing up such a unique spunky little dog? Bowdy is just six years old and even though that may seem older to some, Jack Russell's typically live to be 15 years old or more, so really Bowdy isn't even middle age yet! He is great with most other dogs and crate trained. Bowdy does need a home with older children that are 7+ years old. He has had all of his vaccines, is neutered and on monthly flea and heartworm preventative medications. He travels well and does fine on a leash. Bowdy is still active and likes to romp and play with other dogs, so he does need a home with a fence and would love a home with a doggie brother or sister.

Bowdy Needs:

Fenced Yard

Children 7+years old or No Children

NO CATS
